DomainMart, a provider of domain-name secondary-market products and consulting services, today announced the launch of a marketplace dedicated to domain name portfolios.

The marketplace creates liquidity and trust for exchanges of domain name portfolios, says the company. For a seller, it provides an efficient existing strategy and an opportunity to rebalance portfolios toward an optimum desired return. DomainMart also facilitates negotiations between buyers and sellers.

According to DomainMart, a listed portfolio must have at least $8,000 in annual monetized revenue and a monetization track record of at least three months.

"Companies initially had a narrow vision of a domain name as a corporate address and an instrument to protect corporate name. Now they are realizing their benefits in creating and directing traffic, product positioning and product differentiation," says Alex Tajirian, DomainMart CEO.
