GoDaddy.com CEO & Founder Inspires Yale's Future Entrepreneurs

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - GoDaddy.com(R) CEO and founder Bob Parsons inspired a crowd of future entrepreneurs Saturday at Yale University as the keynote speaker for the Yale Entrepreneurial Society's Innovation Summit.

Parsons was interrupted more than a dozen times for laughter or applause during his weekend speech, in which he discussed the need for both luck and perspective to succeed in business. He motivated the Yale(R) students with personal stories of both struggles and victories.

"Never give up. Almost nothing works the first time it's attempted," Parsons told the audience. "Just because what you're doing does not seem to be working doesn't mean it won't work. It just means that it might not work the way you're doing it. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it and you wouldn't have an opportunity."

Under Parsons' leadership, GoDaddy.com has become the world's leading Internet domain name registrar, both in terms of new registrations and domain names under management. In November of 2005, Parsons accepted Arizona's prestigious "Ed Denison Business Leader of the Year" award at the Governor's Celebration of Innovation.
