Reunion.com Surpasses 25 Million Members

Online leader in keeping people in touch grows subscription member base by up to 40,000 daily

April 26, 2006; 02:48 AM

LOS ANGELES - Reunion.com, the leader in keeping people in touch online, today announced that it has exceeded the 25 million Member mark. Membership continues to increase by up to 40,000 daily, as more users turn to Reunion.com to find, reconnect and stay in touch with friends, classmates, lost loves, family and all their important relationships as life changes.

Reunion.com was launched in 2002 by Jeffrey Tinsley, the founder and CEO, after meeting his wife at their 10-year high school reunion. Tinsley started by negotiating the purchase of HighSchoolAlumni.com (with 5.3 million registered users) from IGN (then Snowball) and PlanetAlumni.com (with 1.4 million registered users). Profitable since day one, the company has continually introduced unique features that set it apart from other social networking sites. Unique enhancements include Who's Searching For You?, the Internet's only reverse People Search, that enables Members to see who has conducted a search that resulted in a match with their name and approximate age.

"This is a significant milestone for Reunion.com and a true testament to the value our unique services provide," said Tinsley. "Companies with strong partnerships, a real value proposition and a sustainable business model, such as Reunion.com, will continue to thrive and grow in the market."

Reunion.com's additional investors include Richard Rosenblatt, CEO of Intermix Media (former parent company of MySpace), Steve Newman, former president of GreatDomains.com, and Andy Mazzarella, former CFO of iMall (sold to Excite@Home) and Latham & Watkins LLP, a global law firm with more than 1,500 attorneys.

Previously, Tinsley was the CEO of GreatDomains.com, a Web site responsible for facilitating some of the largest domain-name transactions in the industry through its secondary domain-name marketplace, including Loans.com for $3 million, ForSaleByOwner.com for $835,000 and Drugs.com for $823,000. GreatDomains.com was acquired by VeriSign at the end of October 2000.
