Leading Domain Name Registrar GoDaddy Expands with 5th Arizona Facility

Leading domain registrar GoDaddy.com has expanded with a new facility in Tempe. GoDaddy.com celebrated the opening of its new 75,000 square foot service center in Tempe on Thursday with a ribbon cutting ceremony and speeches from GoDaddy.com President and COO Warren Adelman and Tempe Mayor Hugh Hallman.

“This is a big day for us at Go Daddy,” said Adelman. Not only does this illustrate our growth story, it means we can target top-notch colleagues from yet another location here in the Valley. Tempe is especially exciting for us considering the recruiting opportunities with nearby Arizona State University.” Since opening corporate headquarters in Scottsdale in 1997, Go Daddy has expanded throughout the valley with two facilities in Phoenix, one in Gilbert and now in Tempe, at 7419 S. Roosevelt.

Go Daddy employs more than 1400 people already and expects to add 500 more, mostly in Tempe, by the end of the year. “Go Daddy will be a powerful addition to the world-class technology businesses that call Tempe home,” Mayor Hallman told the crowd at today’s ceremony. “Go Daddy’s leadership and commitment to service excellence are a great fit for our community.”

Employees at the new facility will include engineers, developers and customer care specialists, who help distinguish Go Daddy’s service. “People like to do business online, but when it comes to customer service – people would much rather talk to a real person. That’s why our team members are so important to our company,” Adelman said.

The renowned customer service, along with the fact GoDaddy.com CEO and Founder Bob Parsons refuses to off-shore or out-source a single job, have helped the domain name registrar dominate its industry. Right now, Go Daddy manages more than twice the domain names of its closest competitor and has 3.7 million customers world-wide.

GoDaddy.com has made the Valley’s “Best Places to Work” list three consecutive years and was recently recognized by CNN.Money’s list of “Best Employee Perks,” specifically for how Parsons rewards top performers by paying their mortgages for a year.

“Our employees are key ingredients to our success. We learned that a long time ago,” Adelman said.
