Iophase Gives Users the Strongest Defense Against Unsolicited Email, Viruses and Spam December 20, 2007; 06:27 AM
IRVINE, CALIFORNIA – December 19, 2007-- Iophase Inc. announces the
availability of the company’s newest version of its email security
product, Advanced Email Scrubbing 2.0, designed to protect its clients’
email users against spam and viruses.
“Advanced Email Scrubbing 2.0 (AES 2.0) features incoming message
quarantine and an improved web interface that will enable our customers
to exercise more control over incoming email,” Eric Hendrickson, CIO of
Iophase says.
The incoming mail quarantine feature isolates spam-suspect messages
and alerts the user once each day with a concise report of messages
they may want to accept. Users can then retrieve the message from
quarantine if necessary.
“This is a significant new feature because certain types of
messages are very difficult to classify. By holding them and allowing
the user to fetch messages on demand, the problem of not receiving what
may be an important email is eliminated,” Hendrickson explains. In
addition, AES 2.0 enhanced web interface features new capabilities that
enable system administrators to add new domains via a control panel.
According to the company, resellers and hosting providers will find
this improvement especially convenient because it will allow them to
manage the entire system themselves.
First released in 2003, AES is a stable and mature product that protects thousands of email customers from spam and viruses.
Immediately available, AES 2.0 will be priced on a “domain plus
user” model, making the product more affordable for small to medium
businesses, IT support organizations, and hosting service providers.
Cost for a domain is $22.95 plus $0.20 per user with discounts
available for resellers and hosting providers with multiple domains.
Headquartered in Santa Ana, California, Iophase offers enterprise
IT network management and monitoring, web hosting and spam and virus
protection for small, medium and large clients nationwide. The company
uses, supports and recommends open source software and databases, and
is dedicated to the open source ideal. Its members are certified by
Novell, Microsoft, Sun Solaris, Cisco, CompTIA, and Information System
Security (CISSP). Iophase was incorporated in December of 2002. For
