Unlimited-Space to give away 1000 internet domain names this Thursday

August 25, 2008; 03:34 AM

Australian website hosting company and domain provider Unlimited-Space.com is set to take the internet world by storm by giving away 1000 domain names and one month of free hosting in a special promotion to be launched on August 28.

The bold move is destined to shake up the internet establishment, with Unlimited-Space already experiencing huge online interest on the website it has especially created for the campaign, http://www.1000freedomains.com.au/.

Under the special offer, Unlimited-Space will be giving a free .com, .net or .org domain name registered for a year to the first 1000 individuals coming to the 1000freedomains.com.au site at 2pm on August 28. Those registering will also receive one month of free hosting on Unlimited-Space's Light Hosting Package.

The Light Hosting Package, normally $9.95 per month or $99 per year, provides unlimited storage space, 1 gigabyte of monthly bandwidth, premium email, full phone support and free set-up.

"Since we set up the website http://www.1000freedomains.com.au/ recently, we have had extraordinary interest in the offer and we expect that the domains will be snapped up very quickly when it goes live on August 28," says Unlimited-Space managing director Lee Gaywood.

"The deal is giving people a chance to log on and grab a free domain and try all of our services absolutely free. We find that once people use us and see that we provide good ongoing support they are very comfortable with using our service on a paid basis."

Mr Gaywood says there are no obligations under the offer to sign up to a hosting package, and when the first month is over they can either keep the domain name and use it elsewhere or do nothing with it. They can also roll over to one of the Unlimited-Space.com hosting plans.

"It's completely up to customers what they choose to do. If customers keep the domain name after the first year the cost will be $20 per year, or if they also have hosting the cost will be just $10 per year."

Mr Gaywood says the special offer is good for people to see how easy it is to get a website up online. "A lot of small businesses don't want to spend money without knowing what kind of return to expect, so they can try it out for free, see if it actually works and see how easy it is."

Unlimited-Space.com also offers a Standard package providing 3GB of monthly bandwidth and 1.5GB of bonus bandwidth annually for $12.95 per month, and an Extreme package providing 5GB of bandwidth monthly and an extra 2.5GB annually for $15.95 per month.

Business hosting packages start from $19.95 per month, while corporate hosting plans start from $49.95 per month. All packages offer 7-day phone support, Australian-based servers, premium email, and come with website builder tools for customers to make their own website, type in content, load images, create forms and more.
