123-reg teams up with Google and Clickstream Technologies to make marketing budgets work harder

123-reg today partners with Google and Clickstream Technologies Plc to launch a free Google Analytics service to all its website hosting and InstantSite customers.


123-reg is the first UK web host to offer the service for free to all of its customers. The service is designed to help businesses better manage their Google AdWords spend, in addition to providing greater information on other online marketing activities.


123-reg has deployed the Datasherpa™ Solutions Platform from Clickstream Technologies Plc to automatically add tracking tags to web pages. This enables users with limited technical resources to benefit from Google Analytics without investing additional time and resources to manually implement tagging on each page. It also solves the problem of web administrators having to maintain code on their websites as new pages are added.


Clickstream’s Datasherpa™ for Hosting provides a platform to automate the deployment of an ever growing collection of third party on-demand software as a service (SaaS) tools including Google Analytics and eliminates the need for manual programming in the implementation. It allows 123-reg customers the ability to enable Google Analytics Account Creation and Tracking at the click of a button.


123-reg customers can use Google Analytics to find out which visitors convert into customers and link Analytics with AdWords to see which keywords are generating the best return-on-investement. This provides further insight to help optimise online campaigns and generate more sales. Google Analytics provides detailed reporting on how visitors interact with a site; how they found it, how long they spent on each page and, for those that don’t convert into customers, where they dropped out of the purchase process.
