April 3, 2009; 10:25 AM

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Go Daddy, the world’s dominant Web hosting domain registrar, has been named 2009’s “Best of the Best” technology company by Ranking Arizona. The award honors Go Daddy as the “best” Manufacturing and Technology Company doing business in the state.

Winners were announced last night and are selected by other top-ranked businesses, a voting group comprised of 175 of Arizona’s No. 1 companies. The distinction represents the business community’s favorite companies, or the Best of the Best, in each of ten major industry categories. Go Daddy had been ranked as the top software company and edged out Cox Communications and Verizon Wireless for Best of the Best.

“We appreciate the recognition because it further confirms Go Daddy’s approach to both customer service and product innovation are firing on all cylinders,” said Go Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons.

Go Daddy serves more than 6.5 million customers worldwide and employs more than two-thousand people. This year already, Go Daddy has hired more than two hundred people and has been bombarded with resumes. Go Daddy ranked on the latest Best Places to Work list for the fifth year in a row. Go Daddy is known for treating its employees to generous prizes such as mortgages paid for a year, cars, cash and all expense paid vacations, all for which the company foots the tax bill.

Go Daddy is generous within the community as well, having donated more than $1.7 million to various charities last year alone.

Go Daddy is coming off its best year ever after increasing its revenue by 42 percent in 2008. In the first three months of this year already, and in spite of the current economic climate, Go Daddy recorded its best financial quarter in company history.

While the company is renowned for its racy Super Bowl commercials, Go Daddy is beloved for its customer service. Go Daddy provides all the services and tools needed to establish an Internet presence, whether for business or personal use. Parsons’ business model has always been to develop affordable, feature-rich products and back them up with industry-best customer support.

Go Daddy has held an industry distinction as “Best Registrar” for four years running1 and has grown to be more than three times the size of its closest competitor2. Over the years, Go Daddy has also been honored as Arizona’s Most Innovative Company and Business Leader of the Year. The Scottsdale-based Web host provider also has Arizona offices in Phoenix, Tempe, Gilbert, along with facilities in Denver, Colo. and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
