Yaounde, 15th June 2009, Mr. Moustapha Saya Kaigama, CEO and President
of Netcom.cm, announced that Netcom.cm will donate 5% of the domain
auction's revenues of the landrush period and, additionally, another
2.50 Euros per domain sold in the sunrise and open registration period
to Flowers in the Desert Foundation, a not for profit organisation
founded in 2008. The Flowers in the Desert Foundation is dedicated to
provide people in rural areas in Cameroon as well as beyond the borders
of Cameroon with basic supplies, such as water wells, chlorine tablets,
water purification systems, mosquito nets etc.
Netcom.cm SARL will launch the .CM toplevel on 15th of June 2009,
starting with the sunrise period. During the sunrise period Netcom.cm
invites all trademark holders to register their domains through their
prefered registrar. The landrush period will start on 15th of July and
end on 31st of July 2009. During this period, everyone can order their
preferred domain names. If one domain name gets more than one
application during the landrush period, this domain will go into an
auction after the close of the landrush period. The landrush period
will be followed by the general registration period. From 1st of August
2009, .CM toplevel domains will be available on a first come first
