‘Catch Phrase’ .ME Domains Available at Upcoming Auction

PODGORICA, Montenegro--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Want a clever catch phrase to promote yourself or your business online? Look no further than the latest crop of .ME domains available at auction beginning later this month.

The .ME Registry announces two auctions – one this month and one next – for domains not originally allocated in the Sunrise and Landrush auctions last spring.

These two online auctions are scheduled to begin April 23 and again May 14. Each auction lasts seven days.

More than 225,000 .ME domains have been registered since they became available one year ago.

“I challenge you to name a ccTLD that is more popular,” said Predrag Lesic, executive director of the .ME Registry in Montenegro. “Dot-ME has experienced lightning quick adoption rates, we believe, because the letters allow for memorable word play.”

In late March, the .ME Registry auctioned off 35 domains in an online Sedo auction. The popularity of catch phrase domains like Rock.ME, Pay.ME, Test.ME and Bet.ME turned them into top sellers.

The success of catch phrase domains is measurable and significant. YouAnd.ME, an online dating site, launched on Valentine’s Day and already has more than 20,000 members and 60,000 page views per day!
