October 8, 2007; 03:42 AM SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – She’s sizzling hot. She’s edgy. Some
might even suggest she can be a “touch inappropriate.” She’s Amanda
Beard and she’s the newest Go Daddy Girl for the world’s dominant
domain name registrar.
GoDaddy.com CEO and Founder Bob Parsons
announced Amanda as his latest addition to a powerhouse spokesperson
posse. “Amanda is the complete package and 100 percent GoDaddy-esque,”
Parsons declared. “She’s beautiful, no doubt about it, but more
importantly, Amanda is a world-class athlete, an accomplished model and
an articulate business woman.”
People around the world have
heard of Amanda’s athletic prowess, which includes two gold medals,
four silvers and a bronze, as well as a national championship. The new
Go Daddy Girl has been one of the most downloaded athletes in the
world. She also has a modeling resume that includes Sports Illustrated,
the cover of Outside, as well as racy men’s magazines such as Maxim and
FHM, and the coveted Playboy cover.
“Being a Go Daddy Girl is
the icing on the cake for me, “Amanda said with a smile. “I’m excited
to be with a world leader. Go Daddy is the best in the world at what
they do, they like to take chances and they certainly know how to have
fun – who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?”
Parsons fueled
GoDaddy.com into a dominant world leader. The company is bigger than
its three closest competitors combined. GoDaddy.com registers domain
names, used most often to create Internet addresses for Web sites or
personalized email. The company is known for low prices and quick,
helpful customer service, but GoDaddy.com branded itself with racy
Super Bowl commercials.
Parsons won’t say if he plans to
advertise in the Super Bowl for a fourth consecutive year – but he is
building a bank of remarkable spokespeople. Amanda joins Indy Racing
League’s most popular driver Danica Patrick, world land speed record
holder Valerie Thompson and champion WWE Diva and original Go Daddy
Girl Candice Michelle, who all appeared together in last year’s Super
Bowl ad.
GoDaddy.com recently signed All-Pro football super star
Chad Johnson as its first male spokesperson. He is now appearing in
commercials airing as part of the GoDaddy.com-sponsored Saturday Night
College Football broadcasts on ESPN2.
Amanda is set to shoot her
first GoDaddy.com commercial in Los Angeles tomorrow. No word on
whether she’ll wear the legendary Go Daddy tank top.
