ICANN and the U.S. Department of Commerce concluded agreement for international governance of ICANN. The EU Commission welcomed the news, CADNA said the agreement was incomplete.

The total number of domain names is continuing to grow, but the rate of growth is diminishing, according to the second quarter 2009 Domain Name Industry Brief published by VeriSign, Inc.
