Two SnapNames Live(TM) auctions are scheduled for DOMAINfest Global, the industry's premier conference and marketplace. The auction format differs from most in the industry, with two discrete three-hour sessions to ensure attention on domains in all positions in the catalog.

A final selection of approximately 400 names will be chosen for the live event, with an extended catalog of names presented in an online auction in the days following the DOMAINfest event. Both catalogs are expected to feature some of the best names available in the aftermarket.

First auction for charity

SnapNames Live and Grassroots.org also are cooperating in a first-of-its-kind philanthropic effort. Eight names donated to Grassroots.org will be offered by SnapNames in the live auction, with sale proceeds benefiting Grassroots.org charities. Donated domains include pleasures.net, lowincomemortgages.com, importliquor.com and cheapstudios.com. Many additional premium names will be offered in the extended catalog.

Auction procedures

During the SnapNames Live auctions, simultaneous online bidding will extend participation to bidders beyond the auction floor, including real-time access to SnapNames' worldwide base of more than 150,000 qualified buyers. This broad exposure to qualified and motivated buyers helps ensure maximum visibility and bidding contention for seller inventory.

Additional information is available for buyers and sellers via e-mail to [email protected]. The DOMAINfest website also has additional information on the overall event at www.DOMAINfest.com. Subscriptions will be available soon for updates by email.
