Local.com Granted Registered Trademarks for Local.com® and Local.com Logo

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Local.com Corporation (NASDAQ:LOCM), a leading local search site and network, today announced that the company has been granted registered trademarks for Local.com® and the Local.com logo design from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

The trademarks grant exclusive rights to Local.com to use the Local.com name and logo design in the United States. Registration of the Local.com® trademark was effective September 16 and registration of the Local.com logo design trademark was effective September 23.

We are pleased that our trademark applications have been approved, thereby adding to our growing portfolio of intellectual property, said Heath Clarke, Local.com chairman and CEO. As the largest local search network in the U.S, the Local.com name and logo have become a well-recognized search brand. Registering our trademarks helps us to prevent confusion in the marketplace between our Local.com website and network, and other local search sites utilizing derivative names that include the word local in them.
