In preparation for this new and unique TLD, Pool.com is making it easier for its customers and partners to purchase their desired .mobi domains by offering no upfront costs and decreasing its acquisition cost to $78.00 for the initial two-year registration.

To date, .mobi has received approximately 10,000 registration applications for domain names during the Sunrise phase, the period prior to the Land Rush when registered trademark holders and public bodies such as governments and other organizations can apply for domains before the general public. The September 26 Land Rush will mark the first opportunity for public registration, where any individual can register a .mobi domain.

Building on the 65 percent success rate of its .EU release, customers who place orders with Pool.com will have a better chance at acquiring their desired .mobi domains. Pool.com has made the .mobi pre-ordering process simple and risk-free -- with no upfront costs, customers only pay for domains that are successfully acquired. Once Pool.com secures a .mobi domain name during the Land Rush, customers and partners will be able to acquire it for an acquisition fee of $78.00, which includes a two-year domain registration. In the event that more than one customer orders the same domain, Pool.com will auction the name to the highest bidder and the final rate, regardless of amount, will be in lieu of Pool.com's standard acquisition fee.
