1&1 Internet Adds Private Domain Registration at No Charge

PHILADELPHIA – 1&1 Internet, Inc., the world’s largest Web hosting company by known servers, is giving its customers increased power to secure their personal address on the Web by including private domain registration in each of its domain registration packages and all shared hosting plans at no additional cost.

The initiative is part of an aggressive campaign 1&1 has undertaken that, according to company Chairman Andreas Gauger, is intended to “change the domain registration industry” by offering the most feature-rich domain registration packages available at the lowest prices on the market. Currently, most Web hosting and domain registration companies charge upwards of $9 per year for private domain registration.
