Shine Advertising Co. Named 'Agency of Record' for GoDaddy.com

GoDaddy.com, the #1 registrar of domain names worldwide, has named Shine Advertising Co. as advertising agency of record, following a two-month review that included Shine and shops from both New York and Los Angeles. Shine will be responsible for strategic planning, traditional advertising, Web development, and viral marketing. Annual spending was not disclosed.

Initial work from Shine will include new television spots for Super Bowl® XLI, including the "extended uncut Internet-only versions" for which Go Daddy has gained notoriety in the past few years. In addition, new interactive components are being prepared to work in concert with the new Super Bowl® creative. Following in the Go Daddy tradition, the campaign is expected to be fun, sexy, and slightly inappropriate -- in other words, 'GoDaddy-esque.'"
