Register.com Releases Holiday Promotion

Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Register.com (register.com) announced on Wednesday that it is celebrating the holiday season by giving away free domain names and professionally designed Web sites.
Each week throughout December, the company will select one recipient among submitted entries and professionally design a Web site, valued at $250. Drawings for the winners will be held on Fridays at 12 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

"This season at Register.com," says Monica Hodges, general manager of retail for Register.com, "we thought a Web site and domain name would be the perfect unique gift for that aspiring entrepreneur, the small business owner who wants a refreshed, professional Web site, or even moms and dads who wish to share the family exploits with relatives across the country."

The company will also select three email addresses each weekday beginning December 6 to 23, and reward the recipients with one year's registration of either a .com, .net, .info, .org, .us, or .biz domain name valued at $35, as well as a 5-page do-it-yourself Web site for a year valued at $59.
